What is website hosting?
“Website Hosting” or a “Web Host” is a company that rents a folder to you on a server up on the Web where your website pages and email reside.
Your Web Host is where your Domain Name Registrar sends visitors when they type your domain name.
Most websites require only basic hosting. Services available at additional cost include sub-domains, additional email boxes, CGI, video and blog hosting, SSL, and private directories.
What is domain name registration?
When people type your domain name (for example www.mysite.com) it's your domain registrar that forwards them to your web host where your website and email boxes reside.
Your domain name is possibly the most important aspect of your Web presence and should be treated like you would a trademarked company name.
We use MyDomain.com which provides domain name registration for all major top-level domains (TLDs) for around $10 per year.

Host on your own server
Bleedingrock will upload your zipped website files to your dashboard at no charge. You can then download, unzip, and upload to your host.Should you require additional assistance including but not limited to the upload to your host, troubleshooting, creating mailboxes, or changing your domain name servers we will require a one time minimum set-up charge of $199. Please talk with your designer prior to committing to a web hosting plan.
Furthermore, by declining Bleedingrock hosting you will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining your web hosting service, DNS and IT issues, and assume all liability for your website files and site operation once you take delivery. You also agree that you will not have access to Bleedingrock Webmail, 24/7 monitoring, or free technical support. Our support is billed hourly at our Tier-4 rate.
