Domain Name Registration
Domain
Registration is the process of
"buying" an available domain
name (such as yourwebsite.com)
from a certified Domain Registrar. When
people type your domain name it's your
domain registrar that forwards them to
your web host where your web site and
email boxes reside. Prices for domain
registration range from $6 per year to
$35 per year.

What is a
Web host:
A "Web
host" or "hosting"
is a folder on the internet which
you rent and where your web site
pages and email boxes reside.
Your web host is where your
Domain Registrar sends people who
type your domain name.
What
hosting does Include:
Web hosting for your
site for 1 domain.
Web site transfer. (if required)
A strong 100% up time record.
Free Bleedingrock technical
support.
Two POP e-mail accounts with
WebMail access.
QuickTime™,
RealAudio™ &
RealVideo™ streaming.
Site search engines submission.
What
hosting does not include:
A Domain name. If
you do not
already have a domain name,
search the Web or visit MyDomain.com.
The
reality about email reliability:
Web hosts are in the
business of keeping your web
pages and other web site content
running smoothly. They also offer
email, which from time to time
with all hosts will likely
experience email delivery delays
and outages. We strongly
reccommend using a dedicated
email provider such as Gmail for your
personal email accounts, or as a
secondary email address. Gmail is
free and includes POP3 from your
email client such as Outlook or
Thunderbird. You can't change the
weather, and you don't want
to be without email. |
